Thua Thien Hue province organized Hue Tourism Forum 2020 entitled “Connecting travel agencies: Hue – a safe and friendly destination” in the morning May 31, 2020.

There are 5 big tourism demand stimulus packages presented during this forum to recover local tourism in the situation of economic development associated with effective prevention of pandemic after nearly two months of closing historical sites to prevent Covid-19 pandemic.
At the forum, according to Mr Phan Thien Dinh, vice-chairman of Thua Thien Hue provincial People’s Committee, Thua Thien Hue province’s tourism demand stimulus program 2020 aims to domestic tourist markets. The province would promote, exploit nearby and safe international passenger markets at the end stage of year if the pandemic would be controlled soon. The following five big tourism demand stimulus packages of Thua Thien Hue city are:
- Deploying tourism demand stimulus programs, policies in a joint program of 3 localities Thua Thien Hue, Da Nang and Quang Nam;
- 50% discount on admission fees to historical relic sites from May 8 to July 31, 2020;
- Suggesting and announcing 50% discount on this policy for the rest months of the year 2020;
- Free admission fees to relic sites during the Hue Festival 2020 from August 28 to September 2, 2020;
- Offering attractive discount policies for travel agencies and tourists.
Besides, Hue city will offer free performance programs at Hue Citadel (Dai Noi), at least one art performance program per day at a specific time from July 15 until at the year-end 2020; Announcement of discount policies to tourist agencies when bringing tourists to visit relic sites in June 2020, applicable for the period 2020-2021; and issuance travel payment cards associated with reduction, discount policies in shopping, accommodation, sightseeing, applicable for August 2020 and more.

Prior to this forum, on May 30, 2020, Thua Thien Hue province organized a conference to sign and announce joint programs between 3 localities including Thua Thien Hue – Da Nang and Quang Nam, then unify joint demand stimulus programs of these 3 localities.
