Spectacular high-altitude fireworks were performed for the first time at Saigon Riverside Park, Thu Duc city on Saturday night 19 April to celebrate the 50th anniversary of liberation of Southern Vietnam and the national reunification. Firework displays attract large people and tourists.

I saw all firework performances in Ho Chi Minh city from the time I stayed here on New Year’s Eve or Lunar New Year or liberation day of Southern Vietnam and national reunification. But this time, the firework show event was extraordinary. Many local people and tourists wore red T-shirts while holding red flags to try to take beautiful photos for souvenirs on such a special occasion, the 50th anniversary of national reunification.
